vaginal itching

vaginal itching can be caused by many things as simple as chemicals such as creams, sprays, fabric detergents/softners and contraceptives or can be due to more serious matters such as std's, but the most common cause is vaginal yeast infection which the usual symptoms are a white vaginal discharge. Try to avoid scratching as this will make your vaginal itching worse it is also essential to avoid heat and sweating of the vagina. If you are on antibiotics eat yogurt, avoid sprays and coloured or scented toiletries. Wear loose fitting underwear with a cotton crouch, keep blood sugar levels at a good level, wipe your vagina from front to back after visiting the toilet, use a condom if sexually active, change out of wet clothing i.e. Bathing suits jogging gear. And always keep your vagina clean.
